Using TV Out and Setting nView Multi-Display (For Driver Version 52.16):

Preparation: After the driver is installed. Connect your TV to the video out connector of GeForce FX on graphics card as the picture below.



A. Using TV Out (GeForce FX 5900 is used as example here)
1. Open Display Properties by clicking Start -> Control Panel -> Display

2. Click Setting tab -> Advanced -> GeForce FX tab. Then select nView Display Mode.
[Note: The option of nView Display Mode is only available when TV or second monitor have been connected to graphics card.]


3. Set nView Modes as Single display and Current display as TV. Then click Apply, video will be shown on TV.


B. Advanced Setting for TV out
- Adjust the size and position of the screen on TV
1. Select nView Display Mode, and set Display as TV then click Device setting -> Device adjustments.



2. In Device Adjustments dialog, click the buttons with arrow, plus and minus sign to position and resize the screen.


- Set Video Format
If you cannot get color output but only back and white picture, you need to set appropriate video format depending on your TV.
1. Select nView Display Mode -> Device settings -> Select TV format



2. In TV Settings dialog, select a signal format depending on your locale and one of connection types then click Apply to complete the setting.


- Force the detection of connected TV
When your TV have been connected to computer, but it remains undetected. You can try the following.
1. Select Troubleshooting, tick the option of "My connected TV does not appear in this list" then click Apply.



C. Setting nView Multi-Display (Applicable to GeForce FX, GeForce4 TI/MX and GeForce2 MX)
With Nvidia nView Technology, you can display computer screen over two displays at the same time and control the desktop displays across two output devices. And there are different modes available.
[Note: Depending on the type of your display device, the options in this page you see may differ from the example in section]


- Clone Mode
1. Select nView Display Mode


2. In nView Modes, select Clone. Select from Display pair and press OK. Then two output devices will show same display.


- Span Mode
In this mode, the display will be split horizontally or vertically across two display devices. Select Horizontal Span or Vertical Span then click OK to finish the setup.




- Dualview Mode
It is native mode supported by Windows and is similar to Horizontal Span that extends desktop onto second display device. In this mode, it allows different resolution and color depth per display.
